    • Wine tasting is led by the owner of Oda Family Marani, wine writer and essayist Keto Ninidze.
    • Tasting includes 6 different natural (raw, unfiltered) wines produced from rare grape varieties grown in organic vineyards in Samegrelo, Imereti, Racha, and Lechkhumi regions.
    • Keto Ninidze will speak equally about Samegrelo's nearly forgotten, unique traditions in vine growing and winemaking, the specifics of each wine presented, the history of the resurrection of rare endemic Megrelian grape varieties, and the more recent history of Oda Family Marani's place in Samegrelo's winemaking timeline.

    White
    Tsolikouri 2021. White dry. Imereti, village Gordi (Khoni Municipality).

    Spontaneous fermentation and aging with no skin contact. Only 400 bottles produced.
    Wine is produced from organically grown vines, with no chemical additives.

    Amber
    Tsolikouri 2021. Amber dry. Samegrelo, village Targameuli (Martvili Municipality).

    Spontaneous fermentation in kvevri with maceration on all skins for one month. Aged in kvevri for 6 months. Only 800 bottles produced.
    Wine is produced from organically grown vines, with no chemical additives.

    Rose
    Naked Ojaleshi 2021. Rose dry. Samegrelo, village Targameuli (Martvili Municipality).

    Spontaneous fermentation in kvevri with no skin contact. Aged in kvevri for 5 months. Only 800 bottles produced.
    Wine is produced from organically grown vines, with no chemical additives.

    Irina 2021. Rose dry. Samegrelo, village Chaburta (Martvili Municipality); Lechkhumi, village Orbeli (Tsageri Municipality).
    Co-fermentation of two grapes: Tsolikouri, Orbeluri Ojaleshi.
    Spontaneous fermentation with no skin contact, and natural aging. Only 900 bottles produced.
    Wine is produced from organically grown vines, with no chemical additives.

    Red
    Dzelshavi 2021. Red dry. Racha, village Bostana (Ambrolauri Municipality).

    Spontaneous fermentation in kvevri with all skins. Aged in kvevri for 6 months. Only 1200 bottles produced.
    Wine is produced from organically grown vines, with no chemical additives.

    Ojaleshi 2021. Red dry. Samegrelo, village Targameuli (Martvili Municipality).
    Spontaneous fermentation in kvevri with one month of maceration on all skins. Aged in kvevri for 5 months. Only 350 bottles bottled.
    Wine is produced from organically grown vines, with no chemical additives.
