    Tasting with Keto 2024

    This menu is designed for the wine professional, as well as for the traveler who desires a deeper introduction to western Georgia’s familiar – or unfamiliar – terroirs through natural wines made from local indigenous grape varieties. Tasting lead by Oda Family Marani's founder, wine writer and essayist Keto Ninidze.

    Over the course of the wine tasting, Keto Ninidze will speak about Samegrelo’s unique and forgotten traditions of viticulture and winemaking, the details of each of the wines presented, the process of reestablishing rare endemic grape varieties of Samegrelo, and the place of Oda Family Marani in the recent history of winemaking in Samegrelo.

    • Menu includes 6 wines (80 ml each);
    • Tour of the vineyard and marani included;
    • Length of tour and tasting – 1.5-2 hours;

    Prices:

    • 8-16 guests - 60 GEL (per person);
    • 3-7 guests - 70 GEL (per person);
    • 1 or 2 guests - 200 GEL (per group)
    • Discount is available to partner companies for groups of more than 16 guests.

    White
    1. Tsolikouri 2023. Dry, white. Imereti, village Bangveti (Gordi, Khoni).
    Spontaneous fermentation and aging with no skin contact, in kvevri. 
    Wine is produced from organically grown grapes, with no chemical additives.

     

    Amber
    2. Tsolikouri 2023. Dry, amber. Samegrelo, village Chaburta (Nakhunavo, Martvili). 
    Spontaneous fermentation in kvevri with no skin contact. Aged in kvevri for 7 months. 
    Wine is produced from organically grown grapes, with no chemical additives.

     

    Rosés
    3. Naked Ojaleshi 2022. Dry, rosé. Samegrelo, village Targameuli (Tamakoni, Martvili).
    Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel reservoir with no skin contact. 
    Wine is produced from organically grown grapes, with no chemical additives.
    4. The Glass Wall 2023. Dry, rosé. Cuveé: Ojaleshi, Tsolikouri. Samegrelo, village Targameuli (Tamakoni, Martvili), Lechkhumi, village Leshkeda (Spatagori, Tsageri).
    Spontaneous fermentation in kvevri with no skin contact. Aged in kvevri for 6 months. 
    Wine is produced from organically grown grapes, with no chemical additives.

     

    Reds 
    5. Maro 2023. Dry, red. Cuveé: Aladasturi, Tsolikouri, Dzelshavi. Imereti, village Rokhi; Racha, village Bostana. 
    Spontaneous cofermentation of Aladasturi and Tsolikouri in kvevri with the skins of Dzelshavi. Aged in kvevri for 6 months. 
    Wine is produced from organically grown grapes, with no chemical additives.
    6. Ojaleshi 2023. Dry, red. Samegrelo, village Targameuli (Tamakoni, Martvili). 
    Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel reservoir with all skins. 
    Wine is produced from organically grown grapes, with no chemical additives.
